Job Expo Almost Here
Finishing touches are being put on plans for the Oh-Penn Job Expo to be held Wednesday Sept. 15 at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown.
The event will feature not only local companies who are hiring but also schools offering job skills training and degrees, financial aid information, workshops for job seekers and an Internet Job Search Room.
Doors open to job seekers at noon and stay open until 5 p.m. This year, the Job Expo got a boost from Project HIRE. The state approved using Area 17 and Area 18 leftover Project HIRE outreach funds to promote the Job Expo.
Last year, nearly 5,000 job seekers, 65 employers and 29 training providers participated.
